Attention 8th Grade Parents/Guardians!
CJHS 8th Grade Graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 17th, at 7:00 PM in the CHS gym. Students should be in the CHS library by 6:30 that evening. Students should dress appropriately for the occasion, and should bring their gowns along with them to put on after they have arrived at CHS. We have graduation practice scheduled to begin the morning of May 17th, at 8:30 AM at CHS. All 8th graders participating in the graduation event on May 17th must attend the graduation practice.
8th graders will be allowed to go home after graduation practice with parent/guardian permission. In order for us to keep an accurate count of how many 8th graders are leaving, and ensure that all of our students are safely getting home after practice, there are a few procedures we need to follow.
1.Parents will be allowed to sign their students out starting at approximately 10:00 AM on Friday, May 17th
2.Parents can give written and signed permission for their CJHS Indian to leave with another adult.
3.Parents can give written permission for their student to walk home.
Graduation practice usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half. All 8th graders will come back to the CJHS cafeteria after graduation practice. All sign outs will take place in the cafeteria. If an 8th grader is not signed out, they will be required to stay until the end of the regular school day.
8th graders' last day of attendance will be May 15th. They are not required to come to school on May 16th, and do not need to attend on May 20th.
