Carlyle High School plans on celebrating the upcoming holiday season while students
prepare for their first semester exams.
Starting Nov. 22, various clubs and classes began participating in the CHS Hall of Trees.
The Hall of Trees showcases different clubs and classes throughout the building. Among
the trees found in the lobby and cafeteria, community members can see trees from the Building
Trades program, the National Honor Society, and the life skills classes while visiting the building
for sporting events or concerts.
“I believe everyone that is signed up is returning from last year. We had a great turn out
last year, and expect the participation to be about the same this year,” said administrative
assistant Abigail Drake.
The trees will be in place by Nov. 26 and will remain decorated until the start of
Christmas break.
Student Council is once again sponsoring their annual “Countdown to Christmas” themed
dress up days.
Dress up days begin on Tues., Dec. 3 and continue through Dec. 16.
Each day, students will have their card punched during lunch for participating in the dress
up days. On Dec. 17, winners will be drawn from those who met the required number of days of
participation.
A full list of dress up days can be found on the school Facebook page.
