A Senior Parent Night is planned to allow parents and guardians to learn about options that will
make college cheaper for students. This event is planned for Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria.
“Senior Parent Night is a night to go over what financial aid for college is, how to apply and what
students could be eligible for. We are also going to go over scholarships available and how to find them,”
said counselor Tammy Branon.
College financial aid can make the bigger more expensive schools more reasonable to the average
person.
“This night is different from the FAFSA Completion Night since we will be learning about the
FAFSA but not completing it at this time,” said Branon.
A FAFSA Completion Night is being planned for later in the school year, since all seniors must
complete the form to graduate in Illinois.
“This event offers parents a chance to learn more about the FAFSA and how it works,” said
Branon.
